Diego to undergo 'smile design' treatment
Argentina's football superstar Diego Maradona will undergo a so-called "smile design" treatment in Colombia, Marlon Becerra, one of the nation's most famous dentists told the media.
Becerra on Tuesday described Maradona, whom he met in 2005, as amiable, gentlemanly and a very nice person, adding that the he aimed to give the former footballer a treatment that satisfies him: with good oral health and aesthetics.
Maradona will have to travel to Bogota several times for the treatment, he said.
The Argentine, who retired from international football in 1997 arrived in Colombia, his first visit to the city since 2005 when he had a stomach bypass operation at the Medihelp Clince in the Caribbean city of Cartagena.
Becerra said Pelusa (Fluffy), as local football fans call Maradona, was a good patient and had no problem signing autographs for other patients who were surprised to see the star in the northern Bogota dental surgery.
Apart from being a dentist, Becerra presents a television talk show and did not rule out Maradona appearing on the show as a guest.
