Dortmund, Bayern draw minnows in cup

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich will both face second division sides in the next round of the German Cup after Sunday's third-round draw with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich will both face second division sides in the next round of the German Cup after Sunday's third-round draw with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

German league leaders Bayern travel to face VfL Bochum in the next round on December 20 and 21 while defending Bundesliga champions Dortmund are at Fortuna Duesseldorf.

Cup holders Schalke 04 are at fellow Bundesliga team Borussia Moenchengladbach.

The draw has thrown up three other all-Bundesliga ties with VfB Stuttgart facing Hamburg, Hoffenheim up against Augsburg and Hertha Berlin hosting Kaiserslautern at Berlin's Olympic Stadium.

Third-division Holstein Kiel have drawn Bundesliga strugglers Mainz, who have failed to register a win in their last nine first division games.
