The decision to infuse young blood in the national camp at the Ambedkar Stadium by new coach Armando Colaco seems to have found favour.

“Bhaichung Bhutia and other senior players have carried the weight of the Indian team for a long time. It’s our turn now and we are trying to do our very best,” says Chirag United midfielder Lalkamal Bhowmick.
After a light training session on Friday, Bhowmick, who has made it to the senior camp for the first time, believes that in the camp, there is no difference between the juniors and seniors.
“Since most of the players are juniors, we try to help them,” says Salgaocar midfielder Rocus Lamare. Colaco, who is impressed by the under-23 team after seeing India’s Olympic qualifier against Qatar on Thursday at Pune, will have 10 players joining the camp today.
