The Mohun Bagan and FC Kochin star, who was here on Friday, is eyeing a coaching job with former Federation Cup champions Kerala Police which is being relaunched with great vigour.
"I am really interested in coaching the new Kerala Police team. I will be having a meeting with the (Kerala) Home Minister, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan," said Vijayan. "Let me see what comes out. They are forming a new team and it would be great to be associated with them again."
The return to the Kerala Police is an emotional one for Vijayan who started his football career - which made a young lad picking up bottles in his hometown a household name - in the Police team in the 80s after his skills caught the eyes of a former Kerala DGP, M.K Joseph.
