WWE SummerSlam 2023 Results: Jimmy Uso betrays twin brother Jey, Roman Reigns retains title with win and more

Jimmy Uso betrayed Jey Uso during the latter's Tribal Combat match, paving the way for Roman Reigns to retain Undisputed WWE Universal Championship title.

WWE SummerSlam 2023 Results: In the most anticipated contest of the night, Roman Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship title with a win over Jey Uso in the Tribal Combat match. In a huge shocker for WWE fans, Jimmy Uso returned and betrayed twin brother Jey who at that moment looked all set for a historic win against The Tribal Chief. But Jimmy interfered in the match and hit Jey which paved the way for Reigns to take control and win in the climax with his signature move The Spear. Solo Sikoa also interfered in the match and aided Roman Reigns. The mind boggling question that is plaguing fans is “Why did Jimmy Uso go against his twin brother Jey and betray him?”

Cody Rhodes ended the storyline with Brock Lesnar with a win over the Beast Incarnate in their third fight against each other. At 2023 SummerSlam, Lesnar dominated majority of the match but in the climax, The American Nightmare hit him with three cross rhodes to emerge the winner.

In the triple threat match among Bianca Belair, Asuka and Charlotte Flair, the EST of WWE won. But then Iyo Sky entered the arena out of nowhere. Sky cashed in her Miss Money in the Bank contract and then pinned Bianca to the count of three. Thus, Sky became the new women's champion.

In other title fights, Gunther retained the Intercontinental Championship and Seth Rollins retained the World Heavyweight Championship.

LA Knight won the WWE SummerSlam Battle Royal, defeated Sheamus in the climax.

Shayna Baszler defeated Ronda Rousey with the latter submitting in the MMA Rules match.

Gunther retained the World Heavyweight title by surpassing Drew McIntyre.

Seth Rollins successfully defeated Finn Balor and retained the World Heavyweight Championship. The match received interference by The Judgement Day members. Damian Priest involvement with his Money in the Bank contract, proved to be a distraction for Balor.

Iyo Sky became the new women's champion after cashing in her Miss Money in the Bank contract against Bianca Belair. Bianca had won in the triple threat match against Asuka and Charlotte Flair.
