WWE WrestleMania 42 Highlights: Roman Reigns became the new Undisputed champion after beating CM Punk in the main event. The match had it all, and both superstars gave it their all. Punk resorted to a low blow; however, Reigns managed to hold on to beat Punk and become the new world champion. Earlier, Rhea Ripley became the new women's world champion after beating Jade Cargill. The odds were stacked against Ripley, and Iyo Sky came charging out to give much-needed support, and in the end, Ripley managed to stun Cargill. Earlier, Finn Balor defeated Dominik Mysterio in a street fight. At the same time, Trick Williams became the new United States champion after beating Sami Zayn in a singles match.

On the other hand, Penta retained the Men's Intercontinental title by winning the six-man ladder match, featuring Je'Von Evans, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Rusev and Rey Mysterio. Earlier, Brock Lesnar seemingly retired from in-ring competition after losing to Oba Femi on Night 2 of WrestleMania 42. Femi announced himself on the grandest stage of them all as he beat the Beast inside five minutes. After the loss, Lesnar removed his gloves and boots and kept them inside the ring as he walked back to the backstage area, leaving Paul Heyman emotional.

Earlier, it was a chaotic main event on Night 1 as the world title match between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes had it all. The match started with Cody combining forces with Jelly Roll to put Pat McAfee on the stretcher. Cody dominated the majority of the contest, but as soon as it seemed that the champion would defend his title, McAfee appeared again in a referee shirt. However, Randy turned on McAfee, giving Cody the perfect chance to attack Orton and retain his title. Cody did just that; however, the biggest talking point came after the contest was over, as Randy brutally attacked Cody by bringing back the punt kick. It's now safe to say that the feud between the two is far from over.

Liv Morgan became the new Women's World Champion after beating Stephanie Vaquer. The contest turned into a three-on-one contest after Roxanne Perez and Racquel Rodriguez came out to help Morgan and attack Vaquer. Gunther picked up the victory over Seth Rollins after the Bron Breakker returned from an injury layoff to attack the Architect. Rollins was primed to pick up a victory; however, Breakker speared him repeatedly, which led Gunther to lock in the sleeper to secure a win on Night 1 of WrestleMania 42.
