Kareena Kapoor to observe Karva Chauth fast for hubby Saif?

Actor Kareena Kapoor, 32, will, in all likelihood, be observing a fast for husband Saif Ali Khan’s well-being, as goes the festival’s custom. The couple is expected to spend the day together at their Mumbai house. They want to keep it a private affair.
“Kareena and Saif will be spending the day together as both of them have no work commitments today,” says a source close to the couple.
If Kapoor observes the fast, this would be her third time since she first observed it in 2010 for Khan.
Back then, she decided to fast despite a rigorous promotional schedule for Golmaal 3 in Delhi. She had a long day with media interactions but went without food and water the entire day. Later in the day she met Saif Ali Khan at Pataudi, where she broke the fast.
Another newlywed actor, Esha Deol, will also be fasting. “Esha will be observing the fast as this is her first Karva Chauth,” says Deol’s mother, actor Hema Malini.
While actor Genelia D’Souza who also got married this year chose to keep her plans under wraps, other married actors such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty will observe the fast like every year.
However, Kareena took it in her stride and went on rehearsing her act. On Saturday evening, she performed solo on her hit numbers Halkat Jawani (Heroine), Chamak Challo (RA.One, 2011). A day before the event, Gurmeet and Rithvik too joined in and rehearsed on Saif’s songs Tumhi Ho Bandhu (Cocktail) , Raabta (Agent Vinod) etc.
