Pending a clarification sought by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) from the ISSF, the medals tally was updated on Monday. India now has 16 silver and 10 bronze in addition to the 17 gold medals.

The NRAI in its proposal to the International Shooting Sport Federation also suggested that the World Cup now be held in two separate events -- the rifle and pistol competitions from May 5-12 and the shotgun events from June 2 to 9.

Apurvi Chandela shot 251.0 in the 24-shot final, staving off the challenge of Wang Luyao who scored 250.8. Apurvi was ahead by 0.1 point with the last shot remaining, in which she fired 10.4 to Wang’s 10.3.
