Turkey's interior minister Suleyman Soylu accused the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) of causing the bomb attack, according to AFP.
The Turkish state media watchdog RTUK has imposed a ban on broadcasting images of the attack. The Erdogan administration has also limited online discussion and slowed down the internet due to security reasons.
"The relevant units of our state are working to find the perpetrators... behind this vile attack," President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told a televised press conference.
