Advisory council to take up progress on Chandigarh’s heritage furniture museum

In the council’s meeting held on August 18 last year, Rajnish Wattas, a member of the Chandigarh Heritage Conservation Committee, had suggested that there should be a space in the erstwhile Government Press Building in Sector 18 for the furniture museum

Environmentalists demand restoration of ancient Buddhist site in Thotlakonda

The Thotlakonda Buddhist complex situated in survey no. 314 at Kapuluppada village in Bheemunipatnam (Bheemili) block of Visakhapatnam had been declared a protected monument under the AP Ancient and Historical Monument and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960

The environmentalists have demanded restoration of the notified area of around 3,000 acres around the site and investigation by ASI to unearth Buddhist ruins in the area. (HT)

Mumbai, India - July 3, 2024: The Consulate General of Israel in Mumbai and The Consulate General of The Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai to a ceremony to mark the restoration project of ‘The Chinchpokli Cemetery’. This ceremony marks the completion of the restoration project aimed at preserving the heritage and legacy of the European Jews who fled Europe during World War 2 & found shelter in Mumbai.
