Sanjay Chandra was released from Tihar jail after 43 months on Friday evening after a trial court in Delhi granted him interim relief for four weeks, considering his aggravated medical condition. His lawyers said Chandra suffered from several medical conditions.

Home sales declined 38 per cent in the October-December quarter of 2019-20 in Noida and 6 per cent in Gurugram year-on-year. In terms of launches, Gurugram witnessed 74 per cent decline and Noida 61 per cent fall over the year-ago period, it said.

The meeting held in the residency’s clubhouse was attended by representatives of both Johnson Lifts and Unitech, and the residents. Representatives of Johnson alleged that Unitech had been delaying annual maintenance cost (AMC) payments, leading to delay in services.

MCG joint commissioner Hariom Attri said that the repair work by the developer was progressing at a snail’s pace, which is why the MCG sent the notice to DLF, asking them to hand over the three colonies immediately and pay the MCG to fix the remaining deficiencies.
As per the procedures, if the builder or defaulter allottee fails to pay land dues despite repeated notices, the authority will ask the district administration to recover the dues.(HT image)

Town department officials reviewed the overall maintenance work in the colony and issued a detailed instruction to the builder. Officials noted regular falling of the outer layer of plaster at B and D blocks, absence of CCTV cameras in C block, regular breakdown of lifts in B and C blocks, lack of covered car parking space in C block, among others.

Following complaints of residents about chunks of plaster coming off in a few balconies in the high-rise towers at Uniworld Garden 2 in Sector 47 on Sohna Road, the district town planning department Gurugram has called a meeting on Wednesday to fix responsibility for maintenance of their buildings.
