'We should be watchful': Govt on Covid's Lambda variant in India

Lambda and Kappa are variants of interests which means that their complete significance is yet to be explored. While India has no Lambda variant case, Kappa is not new in the country, Dr Paul said after Uttar Pradesh reported Kappa variant on Friday.

Lambda is not yet proved for excessive transmissibility of severity and there is no case in India so far, Dr VK Paul said.
