The app, which allows users to chat, send photos and meet up in the real world, has become a global hit for gay men, notching up downloads in nearly 200 countries.
This week, it announced the results of its user poll of favorite places, heralding New York as the 'Gayest US City' and London as the 'Gayest International City'.
The best destination to celebrate Pride, which gets underway with summer in the coming months, was Sao Paulo, Brazil, home to one of the largest pride parades in the world, which this year runs from June 7-11.
Those on the lookout for the hottest guys in the US should head to Los Angeles, Grindr users advised, while those overseas should make a beeline for Tel Aviv in Israel to hook up with a hottie.
This week also saw the launch of a new site by the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association, designed to connect LGBT travelers to LGBT hotels and destinations all over the world.
The site, at www.lgbt.travel, features a gay events calendar and a directory of LGBT-friendly businesses in a total of 89 countries.
