‘I am not military’: Former Miss Ukraine Anastasiia Lenna posts after combat-styled pics go viral

Former Miss Ukraine, Anastasiia Lenna, took to Instagram a few days ago to share a post after her pics showing her holding a gun amid the ongoing crisis between the country and Russia went viral. Many assumed that she shared the pictures after taking up arms to defend her country. However, she clarified that the photographers she posted were only to inspire people.

She shared two pictures a few days ago that show her carrying a gun while wearing a military uniform. She also added #standwithukraine and #handsoffukraine as hashtags.

Later, she shared another post explaining that her pictures with a gun were a way to inspire people amid the ongoing crisis. In the clarification post, she also added that she is an airsoft player. It is a game in which teams play with mock weapons.

Lenna represented Ukraine in the Miss Grand International beauty contest in 2015. A profile of hers published on the contest’s official page details that she studied marketing and management in Kiev Slavistik University for five years. Previously, she used to work as a PR manager. Presently she works as a model, actress and TV host.

Several people have lost their lives since Russia attack Ukraine. Many have taken refuge in underground subway stations spread across the city of Kiyv.
