TV star Aman Verma surprised many with the sudden news of his engagement earlier this year. Now, the date for his wedding has been finalised. Aman will get married to actor Vandana Lalwani on April 20. “We have locked that date as number 2 has been lucky for me,” says the groom-to-be, adding that the venue is still being finalised.
“Our families are in consultation with the pandits, and we will decide the various functions and the venues for them soon. I am travelling, shooting and coordinating a lot of things at the moment.”

The couple will have ceremonies in Mumbai and Delhi, as most of Aman’s family members live in the capital. “But the elders in the family are still deciding where to have which function,” he says.

However, Aman is in no mood to go overboard with the wedding celebrations.
“I am a private person, and would have liked to keep the news of the wedding under wraps. But now that it’s out, I am talking about it. For me, marriage is a close-knit affair between two families. I don’t believe in huge pomp and show and inviting 5,000 people. It’s just a waste of money. You can use those resources for other important things. We have invited our close friends and family. Apart from that I have invited some people from the industry, who have been part of my journey,” he says.

The actor also adds that when the news of his wedding came out, he received varied reactions. “But they have been largely positive,” he says.
