Actor Anup Soni says that his turn as host of a crime reality show on TV has instilled a sense of responsibility within him.

“While I am shooting for the show, I am just another responsible citizen of the country and not an actor,” says Soni, who hosts Crime Patrol Dastak that airs on Sony TV.

The show, which recently completed 100 episodes, picks crime cases and reconstructs them with actors. It puts the spotlight on cases related to domestic violence, teenage infatuation and obsession, extra marital affairs, dowry demands and blind faith in superstitions. The show has so far shown cases like those of baby Falak, Neeraj Grover murder case, among others.
