An actor being replaced on TV isn’t anything new and most TV actors live under that constant threat. Unfortunately, that’s what happened to Dakssh Ajit Singh, who had been signed to play a negative character in Chhal on Colors, but was replaced after allegedly walking out of a shoot.

A shocked Singh says, “After working from 3 pm to 6 am I was fatigued, and asked for a break, which they refused. I was shooting for a prison scene and was heavily chained, so I even got a shoulder cramp and some scratches. Physically, it was not possible for me. So I went home and later in the afternoon found out that they had replaced me.”

The actor adds, “I had agreed to do the role instantly as the makers urgently needed the character in the show. Even without signing a contract, I shot for about 16 hours.”

Further, no one apparently notified him about his ouster. “Producer Bhairavi Raichura was the only one decent enough to respond to my calls. No one else bothered to tell me,” he says adding, “I think if an actor is saying he is unable to perform, and that he is tired, that should be respected.”

After Dakssh was replaced, the production house re-shot the entire portion with actor Aamir Dalvi.
