For those who thought that Love Sex Aur Dhokha was a one-off experiment for producer Ekta Kapoor, think again. The latest is that the Czarina of the telly world has got Vishal Bhardwaj’s nod to team up for a movie. Sources say that work on this project will start after the filmmaker is through with Saat Khoon Maaf, which he is currently shooting with Priyanka Chopra in Coorg.

“It’s not a recent development that Ekta wants to produce movies on diverse genres. In fact, she’s got her team to work on exploring different kinds of subjects for Balaji productions,” says the source, adding, "Ekta appreciates the kinds of movies Vishal makes and holds him in high regard as a filmmaker."

Considering that Bhardwaj is the kind of director who likes his independence when it comes to films, Kapoor assured him that there would not be no interference from her side. "Ekta is not the kind of person to interfere when a director of the calibre of Vishal is calling the shots. She’s certain that with Vishal at the helm, there’s not the slightest doubt on the quality of the product", our source adds.

It is believed that this will be Bhardwaj’s next project, after Saath Khoon Maaf. Meanwhile, Bhardwaj will begin working on a film with Saif Ali Khan, who will wrap up his next, Agent Vinod, in the interim.

The source says, “Ekta and Vishal will lock in on the subject after he returns to Mumbai. It will be a joint production, presented by Balaji,” the source says, adding that it remains to be seen if Tusshar Kapoor will be a part of this project. Ekta has agreed that Vishal will take the final call on the casting and other creative aspects, our source reveals. Kapoor and Bhardwaj were unavailable for comment.
