Emilia Clarke has become Dany for real!

Emilia Clarke has taken a massive step in her preparation for the eighth season of Game of Thrones. The actor, who plays a lead in the hit fantasy drama, shared a shocking photo of her freshly dyed blonde hair on Instagram.

In her post, she thanked her hairdressers for ‘making this magical moment a reality.’ “AAAAHHHHHHH SHHHHIIIII******. I done did it. Mother of dragons meet Emilia. Emilia meet mother of dragons. If you squint just so you might never know. All hail to the magnificence of @kevalexanderhair and @candicebanks74 the genius creators of ‘KHALEESI WIG’ (and not forgetting all the hair on game of thrones for 8 glorious years) for at long last making this magical moment a reality,” she wrote.

All through the previous seasons, Emilia wore a blonde wig for her role as the mother of dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, over her natural brown hair. Which is why the dye job comes as an utter surprise considering how precious all those wigs looked on her.

Of course, Emilia’s real hair is much shorter than Dany’s and looks even shorter than usual in the new pic. So some use of wigs is definite. Or could it be that Dany too her cut her hair short in the next season?

The fans cannot believe she went ahead with the idea either. “I guess you won’t be handed the camera to take pictures of fans with your co-stars anymore!,” a fan commented on the photo. “I DONT KMOW WHAT TOBSAY AND WHAT TO DO,” exclaimed another in all-caps.

In quite an opposite case, actor Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the show, said no to dyeing her hair red season after season and opted to wear a wig for the latest season.
