The season 6 premiere of hit TV series Game of Thrones was full of shocking scenes and one of the most unexpected moments was Ellaria Sand’s murder of Prince Doran. Just in case you were wondering how Prince Tristane ends up back in Dorne when he was actually on the boat back to King’s Landing with Jaime Lannister, we have the answer for you.
As part of it’s Making Game of Thrones blog, HBO has revealed pictures of the gorgeous letter by Jaime to Doran, telling him of Myrcella’s murder and the intricate bracelet worn by Ellaria, concealing the lethal dagger that she used on Doran.
Both props show how much attention goes to into creating the most expensive television series in the world.
The letter reads: “The Princess Myrcella died by poison on our return journey. I suspect Ellaria, not you, but my sister will demand war. I doubt Ellaria’s head will appease her but it is a start, a long with your nieces. Your son cannot stay in King’s Landing. I am sending him back on the same ship.”
The letter is written in a beautiful calligraphy with a red stamp and seal.
The museum-worthy dagger/bracelet is adorned with rubies and looks sharp enough to actually take a life. Let’s start saving for the day it goes for auction.
Well, at least Price Doran did go out with style.
