Playing a double role is a daunting but landmark feat in an actor’s career and Tina Dutta says she had great fun doing it for her show Uttaran.

The actor who essays the characters Ichcha and Meethi on the show is now sad that the stint ends, as Ichcha will soon die on the show after an accident.

On her death bed, she donates her heart to her best friend Tapasya (Rashami Desai). Talking about playing two characters simultaneously, Dutta says, “It was stressful at times, but I enjoyed it as well. The makers wanted a change in the story which is why they are letting Ichcha go.”
