, the cast of which is now nearly complete.

The plot of How I Met Your Dad will revolve around Sally (Greta Gerwig) and her telling of how she came to know her children's father. Among the various protagonists in Sally's story are Frank (Nick D'Agosto), her potential suitor, and Danny (Andrew Santino), her older brother.

The former character is an IT specialist who helps out with the fashion blog written by Sally's best friend Juliet (Krysta Rodriguez). Frank quickly develops a crush on Sally, who is already married to Gavin (Anders Holm) but is thinking of ending the relationship. Sally's brother Danny, meanwhile, is a lawyer who lives with Todd (Drew Tarver).

Written and produced by the creators of the original series, the spin-off will rely on the same narrative devices, namely flashbacks, to illustrate the heroine's story. New York will serve as the backdrop for this tale of one woman's long and bumpy road to meeting the father of her children.

While waiting for the premiere of the spin-off, fans are still savoring the last episodes of "How I Met Your Mother," which will come to an end on March 31. Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) will finally wrap up the tale of how he met his children's mother (Cristin Milioti) after nine seasons of suspense.
