Amid speculations that actor Vivian Dsena was brought back on a TV show, to revive the dipping TRPs, the show’s current male protagonist, Gunjan Utreja, aka Abhay Kapoor, says that he isn’t insecure about the former’s entry, nor is he feeling betrayed.
Trashing rumours of cold vibes between them, the 28-year-old says that while it’s true that he’ll have some serious fights with Vivian, he assures his fans that it will all be onscreen.
“I’m not insecure about Vivian’s entry at all. Neither did he leave because of me, nor have I been asked to step out because he’s back,” says Gunjan.
The actor, who entered the show a couple of months back, faced a lot of criticism initially about his acting skills. This, however, hasn’t bogged him down.
“Even Vivian was criticised, but look how popular he is now. It did take a while for the audience to accept my character, but I am overwhelmed by their acceptance now,” says Gunjan, who’s character may turn grey in future episodes.
Talking about it, he says, “The lines between the hero and the villain have thinned. So, yes, you will get to see a different me soon as he and I turn rivals on the show.”
