Jacqueline blushes when I tease her: Manish Paul

Actor Manish Paul who is currently hosting a reality show, talks about his rapport with the judges, especially Jacqueline Fernandes.

Actor Manish Paul is perhaps one of the most loved hosts on Indian television. Presently hosting a dance reality show, he’s not only impressed viewers with his comic timing, but his camaraderie with judges also remains the talk of the town. Even though the judges have changed over the seasons of the show, Manish has managed to share a great bond with all of them. “I won’t say there’s any trick to do that. I am just a blessed soul and that’s why they (judges) don’t mind when I tease them, rather they start enjoying it too. There is no special effort and I remain myself,” he says.

On his rapport with Jacqueline Fernandes, who’s the latest to join the judges panel on the show, he says, “When she came on board, lot of people were skeptical that whether she’ll flirt with me or not but surprisingly, she blushes whenever I tease her. She sometimes genuinely says that ‘OMG how much you can flirt.’ I feel happy about that.”

Completely in awe of Jacqueline, Manish further adds, “She is the person to reach the sets early on the day of the shoot. She’s not at all a fake person as some people might think. The way she is behind the camera is exactly how she is in front of the camera. She’s ever ready to do whatever you want her to do on the sets. She never throws tantrums or any drama about dancing or anything else.”

While audiences enjoy watching endless candid moments between Manish and Jacqueline, they definitely miss the bromance with Karan Johar. “Nah! I don’t spare Karan (Sir). If one punch is on Jacqueline, the next has to be for him. But yeah obviously, I have been flirting more with Jacqueline. Karan Sir thoda jealous ho rahe hain but kabhi kabhi karana bhi chahiye. (Karan is getting jealous and sometimes it’s good also),” he quips.

Paul suffered a shoulder injury sometime back and he’s happy he has finally recovered. “I am much better now. Thankfully the sling has come off after the surgery. It feels good when people come and tell you that you can make even the injury look stylish,” says the actor who hosted the show wearing a sling in his forearm.
