Actor-comedian Sunil Grover’s re-entry on Kapil Sharma’s comedy show recently made as much noise as his exit, eight months ago.

A lot was speculated about the duo’s relationship going sour when the former walked out of the show to be part of a similar drag act on a rival channel. However, the new show was taken off air within weeks after it failed to tickle the audience’s funny bone.

"That show was part of the journey. It’s over, so there’s no point talking about it. As for Kapil, it didn’t hurt my ego to come back to his show because I have been a part of it since the time it started. There were some contractual issues because of which I quit. Now that those issues have been addressed, I have returned," says the 36-year-old.

It was reported that he left the show for better money. So is he back with a fatter pay package? He brushes aside the question, saying, "I don’t want to talk about that."

He even stays mum on being approached for the new season of a celebrity reality show. Now that he’s back on the show, he defends his "good friend" Kapil from allegations about him turning arrogant after the success of his show. Sunil says, "When you are busy and working hard, you often get worked up. But he is not arrogant at all; he is still sweet and humble."

Ask him what the best thing about coming back on board has been, and he says cheekily, "Nothing has changed for me, and Gutthi’s costume designers are really happy because they didn’t have to take my measurements; my size is still the same."
