Kapil Sharma says he never fought with Sunil Grover: My fight was with Chandan Prabhakar

Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma has finally opened up on the infamous fight with Sunil Grover and claimed there was actually no fight! However, he added he had a face-off with Chandan Prabhakar.

Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma has finally opened up on the alleged, infamous spat with Sunil Grover and claimed there was actually no fight between the two.

Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover have stopped appearing together in shows ever since news came out that the two had an ugly fight.

Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film, Firangi, Kapil said on Tuesday, “Sunil ke saath mera jhagda hua hi nahi tha actually. (I never had an argument with Sunil). Since reaching Australia, my mood was very bad as someone from the film (crew of Firangi ) had died, and I tried to meet Maansaab, which didn’t happen, plus I had a death to deal with. I became so nervous and negative. The only positivity was Maansaab. When the show was starting there in Australia, we were only two people. Mera jhagda ek bachpan ke dost ke saath hua. However, nobody knew about it because that wasn’t famous.”

Kapil said his fight was with Chandan Prabhakar - another comedian from the team of his show. “I abused Chandan and so did he. Sunil Grover got angry because I shouted at someone in the flight. He is someone I love the most in the show. Wherever he is, I hope he’s happy, and I know he loves me,” Kapil said.

Talking about his experience post the much-publicised spat, Kapil said, “I had started treatment in Bangalore and had even started drinking a lot. I locked myself. I felt everyone hated me. It will take three more months to recover and currently I’m feeling a bit happy as I have expressed myself in front of him. I even texted Sunil and I wanted him to launch the trailer but he couldn’t come as he’s in Canada for his show.”

Kapil has been going through a rough patch since March when he had a mid-air fight with Sunil that reportedly ended with him throwing a shoe at his co-actor. Kapil was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened. Sunil has since refused to work with him.

Recently, Sunil Grover had said, “What you say is perceived to be the truth and how you see facts might not really be true, and can sound demeaning for the other person. With Kapil, I’ve had a great association, and I have deep gratitude for the platform we shared.”
