Show: Chak Dhoom Dhoom
Station: Colors
Time: 9.30 pm, Friday, Saturday
Cast: Urmila Matondkar, Javed Jaffery, Terence Lewis

This season of Chak Dhoom Dhoom, is better than the previous one that revolved around kids. But still, there's some amount of dullness in the show. The audition rounds weren't all that exciting. Mallika Sherawat, the then celebrity judge, was excited about almost every dance performance, while Terence and Javed had reservations.

Enter Urmila Matondkar. Her opening episode was brilliant. She's always fun to watch, especially when she dances. She’s got great energy, almost matching that of her co-judges. But there's still something amiss. Despite all the efforts from the producers and the channel, the show continues to appear dull and at times, very boring.

In terms of talent, other shows are several notches higher. Some of the acts are not even entertaining enough, which just shows that the research and audition process hasn't been good enough to dig out dance groups.

There were hundreds and thousands that appeared on Boogie Woogie on Sony Entertainment, which made the audience get up from their seats and dance. That is something that just doesn't happen here. Definitely, there are one or two cool groups, like the one, which has truck drivers and other odd job-doers, who dance well.

Pravesh Rana is a chilled out host. Despite having almost everything in place, the lack of good talent overshadows the good things in the show. Better luck next time guys!

What we like
Urmila Matondkar and her co-judges.
The format involves group dancing .

Show: Maa Exchange
Station: Sony Entertainment
Time: 9 pm, Wednesday-Thursday
Cast: Surekha Sikri and others

This one can serve as an option only if one fine day you don't want to watch the usual daily soaps because of the content on this show is also quite daily soapish, although a little different because the characters change every episode. But otherwise, you can happily skip it. Probably the production and the channel thought it was a great idea to involve kids as part of the emotional drama between families, but the idea is actually overdone. Kids should be ideally kept out of this circus because it can cause a lot problems for them, in school and socially too.

Surekha Sikri is as ineffective as a host as effective she is as an actor in other shows. Her look doesn't work for her either. If someone has watched the original show, they certainly won't like this desi Wife Swap. The drama and the final cross-questionning session between the women who participate seems so staged and not appetising enough for anyone to watch, unless they have no choice.

What we like
The brave concept.

What we don’t like
Content looks staged
