An insider reveals, "The shooting will commence in November as re-scripting caused the delay. The set is being built in Film City and they will shoot in Dubai too. The creative team, channel and Bhansali all wanted this project to be one-of-a-kind and they left no stone unturned." The show, to be aired on Star Plus, is based on the popular Gujarati novel Saraswatichandra by Govardhanram Madhavaram Tripathi. It is set in the early 20th century and revolves around two Gujarati families.

Actors Jennifer Winget and Gautam Rode were unaware of this development, but now Gautam confirms, "The show isn't scrapped, but I can't talk about it right now."

The source adds, "Bhansali is busy with the shooting of his next film as well. He wants the best for his TV project and doesn't want to cut corners, so he sits with the show's team, at times even on his film set, to work on the script. Once the script is locked, things will progress rapidly."

Despite repeated attempts, Star Plus remained unavailable for comment.
