Shoojit Sircar lends a helping handto Anurag Kashyap's TV show

Sircar is involved in the making of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer show that Anurag Kashyap is helming as creative director.

seems to be growing in popularity.

After film-maker Tigmanshu Dhulia and actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui joined the cast of the show, playing cameo roles, now film-maker Shoojit Sircar too has joined in.

Though, he won’t be acting like the rest, he will lend a hand in the production. Sircar’s next directorial venture, Piku starring Amitabh Bachchan is going on floors in June or July, after the actor finishes work on his television serial.

Shoojit, who has already worked with Bachchan in his Gujarat tourism campaign, is interestingly associated with the serial he is acting in and co-producing.

Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the production of the serial is looked after by Anurag Kashyap as a creative director. Shoojit is helping out the two .

The show will have 20 episodes. The story of the show, though, has been kept under wraps is about is about the politics of the corporate world with the senior actor playing the character of Yudhishtir Sikarwar, a business tycoon.

However, Bachchan regrets that his first filmwith Shoojit didn’t seethe light of the day as yet. "Shoojit and I have worked before (in a film) but, unfortunately, that film got stuck somewhere. I have worked with Shoojit in many commercials. We did the Gujarat tourism campaign. I am very comfortable working with him," says Bachchan.
