Steven Spielberg is all set toconvert a popular video game Halo into a live-action television series.

While unveiling its new Xbox One entertainment console, Microsoft announced that the 60-year-old filmmaker will executive produce the upcoming television venture, said the Hollywood reporter.

Halo is a multi billion-dollar video game franchise. The story focuses on a fight between human race and aliens. Spielberg is currently presiding over Cannes Film Festival's jury.
