Akshay Kumar will reportedly start shooting for Master Chef India from August 15. The actor is the host of the soon-to-air cookery reality show on Star Plus, which is a desi version of Top Chef, a show that’s in its seventh season on AXN. Khiladi Kumar, also known to be a chef, has allotted dates till the 17th of the month. The next shooting schedule is yet to be figured out. The set design, contestants and even the actor’s looks are being kept under wraps.

Actor Mishaal Raheja, who plays the male lead Dutta Bhau in the Colors daily, Lagi Tujhse Lagan, will be anchoring the second season of the thriller show, Mano Yaa Na Mano on Star One. Actor Irrfan Khan hosted the first season and the show ended quite a while ago.

Comparison galore
Mazher Syedd, the baddie Rohit in Rakt Sambandha on Imagine, has been receiving flak and hate mails from girls. Several people have apparently written to him, comparing his character with Rahul Mahajan, more so after Dimpy Ganguly accused him of domestic violence. Similarities also have been drawn between Syedd’s character and Mahajan’s off-screen personality. Syedd, who plans to wed his lady love Mouli Ganguly soon, fears that one day he will be publicly beaten by women.
