Actor Debolina Paul has replaced Gopi Bahu aka Jiaa Manek of the TV soap, Saath Nibhana Saathiya. And, buzz is that Manek was shown the door by the channel, Star Plus, due to her unprofessional behaviour.

“The show saw a new face essaying the role of Gopi Bahu, which has been played by Jiaa Manek since its launch. The association with her has been discontinued due to unprofessional conduct and breach of contract from her side,” said Nitin Vaidya of Star India.

A source revealed that the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Ja 5, was the bone of contention between the actor and the channel. “She did not take permission from the channel before committing her time as a participant in a show for the rival channel,” said the source. Paul, the new Gopi bahu is “extremely happy” to have got the role. “I hope that viewers continue to love the show the same way."
