"Anas shot for a special ­promo in his character for the Satyamev Jayate. The promo was around voting where he was appealing to the audiences to not put their vote for sale, and rather vote cautiously. When Aamir saw the promo he was very impressed with Anas’s natural and honest performance that he immediately texted Anas and complimented him for his work," says a source from the sets.

Talking about it, Rashid says, "It was a sweet gesture from the actor. Initially I was a bit confused since I have an uncle and friend with the same name and kept pondering why they would write to me about this. Finally, when I called up on the number and spoke that I realised it was the actor Aamir Khan. It’s a great feeling when you receive appreciation from such a fine actor like him. It made my day."
