Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly delivered a forceful UN address calling on Israel to fully implement the Gaza ceasefire, halt what Egypt calls daily violations of international law, complete a withdrawal from Gaza, allow sustained humanitarian aid and reject any displacement of Palestinians. He said a lasting regional peace is impossible without ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.
