‘If humanity is suffering…’: Top doctor on Lancet study slamming Modi govt

Dr. Harman Boparai, a New York based critical care physician & anesthesiologist spoke to Hindustan Times’ Aditi Prasad about the Lancet study that criticised the Modi government over its handling of the Covid crisis. Dr. Boparai said that governments should be accountable to people on such issues. He further said that seeking accountability cannot be seen as a political statement. ‘There has been a failure in so many ways. Nationalism has to be based on humanism,’ Dr. Boparai said.
