How QUAD has spooked China even more; Xi Jinping fears Putin-like isolation

Chinese Minister stated U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy ‘as dangerous’ as NATO eastward expansion in Europe. In a reference to quad-like groupings, the Chinese minister compared NATO strategy with 'small blocs' in Indo-Pacific. Interestingly, the Vice Foreign Minister also served as China's India envoy (2014-2016). Beijing's territorial ambitions have been a cause of tension in the Indo-Pacific.
