As PM Modi pitches simultaneous polls, Akhilesh Yadav says many won’t agree

On the day that Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired an all-party meeting to discuss the idea of simultaneous elections, Samajwadi Party chief expressed his doubts. Akhilesh Yadav said that many parties won't agree to the conduct of Lok Sabha and state Assembly elections at the same time. Akhilesh, along with other Opposition leaders like Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader MK Stalin, gave the party a miss.
