‘ATS chief Hemant Karkare died after I cursed him’: Sadhvi Pragya sparks row

BJP candidate from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya Thakur said the former Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad chief died after she cursed him. Sadhvi said Hemant Karkare had tortured her. “He tortured me… I said may you perish. He was killed by terrorists in a month,” Sadhvi said. Hemant was heading the probe and Pragya Thakur was arrested during the investigation. Pragya Thakur is among the seven accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. Hemant was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Pragya is out on bail and is the BJP candidate from Bhopal seat against Congress' senior leader Digvijay Singh.
