Chandrayaan 2: ISRO to launch its ‘most complex’ Moon mission on July 15
The Indian Space Research Organisation has announced that it will launch the Chandrayaan 2 on July 15 at 2:51 am. The new Moon mission will consist of an orbiter, lander and rover. While the orbiter is expected to study the Moon for a year, the lander and rover are slated to land on the lunar surface on September 6 or 7, 2019. The lander and rover will function for one lunar day. ISRO says that its main aim is to find water and study minerals on the Moon.
