‘Cong makes false promises’: BJP attacks Rahul Gandhi’s income promise

A day after the Congress promised a minimum income guarantee scheme if it won the upcoming General elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party fielded its top guns to attack the opposition party. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and BJP Vice-President Shivraj Singh Chouhan accused the Congress of making false promises before polls and cited the example of farm loan waivers in states like Madhya Pradesh where the Congress recently came to power.
