Golden Temple entrance getting gold plated

The entrance of the Golden Temple in Amritsar is getting gold plated. Also known as Darbar Sahib, the Golden Temple is one of tne most revered spiritual sites and religious shrines of Sikhism. The main temple is made of pure gold. The work is being done by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). The SGPC is responsible for undertaking management of gurdwaras across the country.
