Heavy rain alert issued for Odisha; Harishankar waterfall overflows, enters temple
The Met department has sounded heavy rain alert for 24 out of 30 districts in Odisha. Harishankar waterfall overflew and entered temple in Balangir. The Met department said, “Cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal on its way to become a low pressure.” Sea condition is likely to be very rough along Odisha coast and northwest Bay of Bengal, the weather department also informed. Fishermen were advised not to venture into sea along and off Odisha coast. This came about 100 days after cyclone Fani ripped through the Odisha coast. cyclone Fani killed 64 people & affected over 16.5 million in 14 of Odisha’s 30 districts.
