Heavy rains lead to water-logging in Kerala, orange alert in 12 districts

Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Kerala leading to massive water-logging. Schools have been declared closed in at least 6 districts even as an orange alert has been sounded in 12 districts. Several long distance trains were also affected by the rains. Government has asked people living in low-lying areas to shift to safer places.
