Watch: Rajnath Singh says mobile phones now have longer reach than missiles

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the reach of mobile phone is now bigger than a missile. Singh also warned that different kinds of security threats may emerge in the future. The Defence minister was virtually addressing the annual Military Literature Festival in Chandigarh. “I myself have been deeply interested in linking military literature with common people. I want future generations to understand our country's history, especially border history,” he said. “With changing times, nature of threats and wars is also changing. In the future, more security-related issues may come before us. Today, the reach of a mobile phone is bigger than that of a missile,” he added.
