Addressing a rally in Silvassa, Union Home Minister Amit Shah trained guns at the Indian National Congress party. He was speaking on the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status when he criticised the main Opposition party's stand. Shah said that the Congress should be ashamed since its statements are used against India by Pakistan. He cited Pakistan's letter to the UN in which former Congress President Rahul Gandhi's statement was mentioned. Shah said that in the past, the Bharatiya Janata Party always put national interest above party interest, even when the Congress was in power.
