‘Shoot at sight’: Union minister warns vandals | Citizenship law protest
Amid reports of violence and vandalism from many parts of the country, Union minister Angadi Suresh Channabasappa issued a warning. The Minister of State for Railways said that anyone indulging in destruction of public property, including rail assets, should be shot at sight. He also alleged a conspiracy to destabilise India's economy being hatched by 'local minorities, some community'. He alleged Opposition support for these 'anti-social' elements. Many trains have been torched in the eastern state of West Bengal during protests against the recent amendments to the Citizenship law.
