TMC and BJP workers clashed in West Bengal's Cooch Behar on Thursday. In a video, police is seen resorting to lathicharge to force party workers to disperse. Bengal BJP has called for a 12-hour bandh in the area over a party leader's death. On Wednesday, a local BJP leader was allegedly beaten to death during a clash. Members of two community clubs had clashed during immersion of Kali idols in Tufanganj. Victim was identified as 55-year-old BJP booth secretary, Kalachand Karmakar. BJP alleged that TMC was behind the incident while the latter has denied the charge.
