In Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, 35-year-old Sandeep Sharma was mowed down by a truck while he was on his bike. Sharma has complained to the district administration about threats to his life after he uncovered links between the police and sand mafia through sting operation. Sharma worked for a local news channel. Naveen Nischal, a journalist with Dainik Bhaskar in Bhojpur, Bihar was killed along with a friend, Vijay Singh, when an SUV rammed into their bike.
