Two journalists killed in 24 hours, foul play suspected in both cases

Within 24 hours, two journalists died in what looked like road accidents. However, foul play is suspected in both the cases. In Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, 35-year-old Sandeep Sharma was mowed down by a truck while he was on his bike. Sharma has complained to the district administration about threats to his life after he uncovered links between the police and sand mafia through sting operation. Sharma worked for a local news channel. Naveen Nischal, a journalist with Dainik Bhaskar in Bhojpur, Bihar was killed along with a friend, Vijay Singh, when an SUV rammed into their bike. Nischal's brother has alleged in the FIR that a former village head and his son are responsible for his death.
