Will file FIR against police entry into campus: Jamia V-C day after violence

Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia said that a First Information Report would be filed against policemen who had entered the campus on December 15, 2019. Najma Akhtar accused police of entering the campus without permission and roughing up students in the library. The police action was preceded by violent protests against the new Citizenship rules. Vehicles had been torched and stones pelted at the police in the protest. Jamia students distanced themselves from the violence.
