The opening affair of the ODI series between India & West Indies occurred on July 27.The 3-match series promised to set the tone for India - In view of the World Cup 2023 preparations. The renowned Kensington Oval of Bridgetown was assigned to host the enthralling series opener. Hosts West Indies found themselves batting first in the high-octane encounter after Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma made an accurate call at the toss. The 1st innings at Bridgetown witnessed a dreadful West Indies batting performance. Windies batters carried their batting woes from the recently-concluded Test series into the ODIs. With the surface being ideal for turn, the innings saw genuine dominance from India’s spin duo. Ravindra Jadeja & Kuldeep Yadav pinned the inexperienced batting of the Windies to the mat. Jadeja took a remarkable three-wicket haul in his eventful 6-over spell while Kuldeep bagged four wickets off just 3 overs after a delayed introduction to the attack.
